As part of The Language of Clay, we will be working with staff from PLANT NOMA.
PLANT NOMA is an open community workshop environment located in Manchester's city centre. It is not only an open studio, but also a coffee place.
PLANT, operated on behalf NOMA is an innovative project which invites the public to use its facilities, completely free of charge, as long as the project will have an impact in Manchester and make the city an even more interesting place to be.
Projects are focused in making things out of wood, clay and cloth. One of the first projects was to see 100 chairs built by 100 members of the public under the lead of local designers. The chairs would be used at PLANT for events.
Regualr workhops are hosted there (posted on the website) as well as exhibitions, events and meetings.
